The VERDE VALLEY HORSEMEN’S COUNCIL was founded by enthusiasts in 1980 and soon incorporated as a non-profit corporation. The Council’s Bylaws state the purpose of the council is to "promote and protect the horse, the horseman, and our Western Heritage as a way of life."
